The strong intention that I hold and weave into every offering, is to connect and strengthen my client to their inner knowing, their empowerment and potential. I meet those I work with wherever they are and empathically guide them to reconnect to their true self, authenticity, and power to create a life that they desire.

My own journey through life has led me to some difficult places. I understand suffering from both physical and mental pain. I've lost deeply, and found the strength to carry on, and to rise above what has held me back from the light that shines within. I've learned to find joy, even alongside the most difficult times of life.

I've relentlessly continued on a healing journey through chronic fatigue, chronic pain, autoimmunity, anxiety, depression, injury, allergies... I've learned to identify the false identities of 'I'm Alone', 'I'm Too Much', 'I'm Not Loved', 'I'm Worthless'. I've transformed these beliefs into 'I'm Connected', 'I'm Brilliant', 'I'm Beloved', and 'I Am Worthy of the Best Life has to Offer'.

Now that I know my worth, I've overcome the years of suffering. I'm free of chronic pain, released from the grips of anxiety, uplifted from depression, and catalysed from fatigue. While I continue to work on myself, releasing the years of burden from my body; I am finally able to unleash my full potential into the world and guide others to do the same. It brings me such joy.

I've dedicated myself to learning from the best

Danielle Hankinson
Unwind & Release

I help people who want to move more, do sport, and live without pain holding them back.

After 27 years of chronic neck and shoulder pain from a skiing accident, I tried everything — physio, massage, chiro — but nothing worked long-term. Myofascial release was the one thing that finally did.

I practice John Barnes Myofascial Release and am trained to advanced level. This gentle, sustained approach releases the fascial restrictions causing your pain by addressing the invisible straight-jacket of tension that's pulling your body out of alignment.

Each session is about following your body's unique patterns, layer by layer, until the restrictions holding you back finally let go and your body can reorganize.

Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, old injuries, or restriction that won't shift —   I'm here to help you feel strong and pain-free again.

Andrew Perzigian
Acupuncture Works

I graduated from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco in 2011. Upon graduation, I opened a private practice, Wellness Workshop SF and soon joined forces with Acupuncture Kitchen, what was then San Francisco’s preeminent fertility-based practice. After years working almost solely on women’s health and fertility, I needed a change of pace and completed an orthopedic acupuncture apprenticeship program under the guidance of Whitfield Reeves in 2015.

Acupuncture Works offers acupuncture and herbal medicine consultations that integrate classical Chinese diagnosis with western medical science. The clinic founder, Andrew Perzigian, brings his experience running and working in San Francisco clinics to the Nelson-Tasman region. He has extensive experience treating digestive, mood and women’s health disorders and has completed apprenticeships in classical pulse diagnosis and orthopaedic acupuncture for the treatment of acute and chronic pain.

Anna is a Certified TRE® Provider and Somatic Therapist with over ten years of experience in private practice. She is registered with the TRE Global Network, the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC), and ACC (Sensitive Claims).

Anna is deeply passionate about supporting people to reconnect with their body’s innate capacity for healing. She believes that we already hold the resources we need within us and feels deeply privileged to walk alongside her clients on their healing journey. Known for her compassionate, intuitive, and accepting approach, Anna works professionally and wholeheartedly to support greater wellbeing, self-trust, empowerment, and a more easeful, resilient way of living. She draws on a range of therapeutic modalities, specialising in Somatic Mindfulness and TRE®.

TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) is a gentle yet powerful body-based practice that activates the body’s natural self-healing mechanisms. Through simple, guided movements, TRE® stimulates the neurogenic tremor response—a built-in process that helps release deep-held tension, regulate the nervous system, and restore balance. TRE® offers a safe and natural pathway back to physical and emotional wellbeing and can support healing in many ways, including:

  • Improved sleep quality

  • Increased energy levels

  • Improved digestion through activation of the parasympathetic nervous system

  • Reduced chronic muscle tension by releasing deep holding patterns

  • Improved circulation, flexibility, and posture

  • Support for trauma recovery by helping the nervous system process and release stored stress

  • Enhanced emotional regulation, reducing anxiety, irritability, and overwhelm

  • Increased body awareness and sensitivity to early stress signals

  • Support for recovery from shock and acute stress responses

  • Lowered stress hormone levels, including cortisol and adrenaline

Tina Gonzales
Somatic & Holistic Therapist

Tina_edited.jpg

Tina Fox Gonzalez offers somatic bodywork and personalised movement support at Koru Centre, with a focus on helping clients feel more at home in their bodies. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, and now based in loving Māpua, Tina works with clients throughout the Nelson/Tasman region. Her bespoke treatments are designed to ease tension and encourage the body’s natural capacity for balance and healing.

Her somatic bodywork sessions draw from integrative massage therapy, with a specialisation in fascia, meridian channels, and parasympathetic activation. Tina’s approach is slow, intuitive, and responsive, creating space for the body to soften, reorganise, and unwind. Sessions may include myofascial techniques, gentle hands-on work, and subtle body awareness practices tailored to each individual.

In addition to bodywork, Tina offers one-on-one yoga sessions designed to complement her somatic approach. These personalised sessions support functional movement, breath awareness, and embodied presence, meeting each client exactly where they are. Tina encourages clients to listen to the innate wisdom of their bodies, fostering trust, ease, and sustainable movement patterns.

Together, Tina’s work supports a holistic, whole-person experience; whether you are seeking deep relaxation, injury recovery, relief from stress, or a more embodied way of moving through daily life.
